Creating a multi-functional space that focuses on both the member and employee experience

Granite State Credit Union’s Nashua branch had closed amidst the pandemic, and they had plans to relocate to another property purchased in the area. The new location sits on a busy intersection near a bustling shopping center. Granite State Credit Union had recently gone through a rebranding exercise – that resulted in a fresh, modern logo that honors the beauty of the New Hampshire landscape.

With a new brand and a heightened need for security, GSCU wanted to introduce interactive teller machines (ITMs). This was just one of many features that were added, to enhance the overall customer experience. Important goals for Granite State Credit Union were to:

  • Carry their new logo and branding elements throughout the branch.
  • Give an elevated experience for members.
  • Place an emphasis on creating a space that cultivates employee success.

The design of the new branch adapted to the changing pandemic restrictions, featuring a four-lane drive-up with ITMs in each lane. The branch also features access to private offices from the outside, creating alternate entrances from the standard lobby entrance. These features provide an enhanced sense of safety to their members.

For the back-office areas, it was very important to create a space that had an equal focus on the employee experience and designed with growth in mind. The private offices are bright, inviting and carry GSCU’s new branding elements throughout. With two break rooms, an outdoor patio, fitness center, and private phone booth, it creates an environment that fosters a positive work-life balance. The final result is a welcoming multi-functional space that focuses on both the member and employee experience.
