Granite State Credit Union

Rochester, NH

PROJECT OVERVIEW Reading Time: < 1 minute

Granite State Credit Union encourages members and staff to “live bold” – a slogan reflected in their branch design. Following a successful branch transformation at Granite State’s HQ and branch in Nashua, NH, Element was selected to carry the new design to a site in Rochester, NH.

The new location, perfectly sited, allowed the building to be clearly visible from multiple directions. The ground-up building is consistent with Nashua, where current and future members are greeted by a welcoming glass facade, separate doors at perimeter offices, a signature color palette and furnishings, eye catching signage and graphics, and unique lighting elements. A continuous glass storefront allows natural light to filter into interior spaces, while the colorful graphics and engaging digital signage bring the branch to life.

Not only was the goal to immerse their members into a visually bold experience, but Granite State also wanted to create a unique banking experience. They believed it was in the best interest of the members to provide interactive teller machines at this location, versus a traditional teller line. ITMs were added in the drive-up area and in the lobby space, allowing members to perform a variety of transactions with the flexibility of speaking to a member specialist virtually, or in person. Multiple lanes at the drive-thru provide an added level of convenience to members, with entrance and exit points that lead directly to the main road.

Granite State Credit Union’s unique branch model perfectly exemplifies their slogan as they most certainly “live bold.”
