Who are you interning under, what do they have you do, and out of all your responsibilities which is your favorite/most interesting?

I’m a marketing intern working under Marc Healy. I assist with marketing outreach and social media through a variety of platforms including HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn. I’m finding all of my work interesting so far and I’m trying to learn as much as I can.

Where do you go to school and what subject do you major in?

Ben with the New Hampshire Fisher Cat Mascot

I’m a senior at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachussetts. I’m studying Business Marketing with a minor in Digital Media. I graduated from high school at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy in Northwood, NH in 2019.

How did you first become interested in your field of study?

I first became interested in marketing through my classes in college. I actually majored in communications until my sophomore year, but decided to switch to business marketing. I like the creative aspect of marketing and the way that it challenges me to think strategically. My professors at Endicott always found ways to make our classes fun and I’m happy with the major that I ended up pursuing.

Have you interned here before, if not, have you interned elsewhere?

Ben’s cat

This is my first internship at Element. I have had two previous internships. This summer, I worked with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats minor league baseball team in Manchester, New Hampshire as their Graphic Design and Production Assistant. I also interned with the Seacoast United Phantoms amateur soccer team in Epping, New Hampshire

Do you have any pets?

I have a cat named Mikey.

If you could go to dinner with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be? Why?

I’ve always wanted to meet Tom Brady. He’s been playing football for as long as I’ve been alive and he’s been my favorite athlete since I was a kid.

If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go, why, and who would you take with you?

Ben in Madrid

I’d go back to Madrid with my parents and my brother. I studied there in the spring through a program that my school offers and it was an incredible experience. There’s so much to see in the city and I want to work on my Spanish.

What is your favorite app and why?

My new favorite app is BeReal. It’s a social media platform where users post pictures of themselves, but the catch is that everyone is supposed to post only once a day at the same time. I think it’s a more authentic way to keep in touch with friends without all of the filters and editing that you see on Instagram or Snapchat.

What is on your bucket list?

I want to see a Patriots playoff game at Gillette, but who knows how long I’ll have to wait for that.

Fall, winter, spring, or summer? Why?

Summer. I like being able to spend time outside at the beach or play golf.

Thanks for the interview and all of your hard work, ben!

‘Tis often quite difficult to get Bryn to pull her nose out of one of her ever-present books. However, she is always ready to put it down for a good chat. Bryn is currently a student studying for her B.A. in History at Ave Maria University, and a minor in Medieval Studies. Over the past four years, she has worked at Element as a writer, photographer, photo editor, editor for the blog, and dabbled in digital graphic design. During that time, Bryn gained experience working in the food service and retail industries, as a regional theatre professional, and as a film extra. She has also been a participant in educational theatre, where she has had the opportunity to perform multiple lead roles, for one of which she received the NHETG Regional Festival All Star Company Certificate for Excellence in Acting in 2019. Bryn’s “element” usually involves some degree of horseback riding, learning about cultural history, or engaging in good food, drinks, and conversation with friends and family. She believes in the importance of seeing and loving people to the fullest, making genuine connections, and sharing divine mercy.
