First Credit Union Queen Creek Branch

Queen Creek, AZ

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Overview

First Credit Union’s Queen Creek project marked the first ground-up application of the branch prototype developed with The Element Group.

The prototype gave the team a clear framework for how the new branch should function and feel. For Queen Creek, Element adapted that model to a ground-up setting and refined it to fit the site’s requirements.

Supporting Growth in a New Market

The Queen Creek branch opened in April 2026. It became the third location developed from First Credit Union’s Element-created prototype and the first to apply that model in a ground-up setting.

The new location gives First Credit Union a branch designed around the service model it had already begun establishing across its network. It also gives the Credit Union a presence in a growing market that had been part of its expansion strategy for some time.

Since opening, the location has been performing well, with members responding positively to the new environment.

Designing for a More Consultative Experience

The prototype established a “360-degree movement” approach to member service, and Queen Creek was designed around that same model. Teller pods give employees greater freedom to move throughout the branch and interact with members in different areas of the space. The intent is to allow staff to ‘meet the member where they want to be met’ and make those interactions more consultative in nature.

The branch was also designed to serve as a sales tool for staff. The flexible layout allows employees to move through the space as conversations develop, using different areas of the branch to engage with members and build relationships.

Element reinforced that experience with digital signage and promotional elements integrated throughout the environment. These touchpoints give staff additional ways to engage members while supporting the open service model established through the prototype.
