A Signature Redesign to Reflect a New Era
Dirigo needed a full branch renovation and transformation. Their goal was to take an outdated physical branch into the modern retail banking age and to launch their new name and brand (formerly Rainbow Credit Union). The Dirigo team requested a “more personable interior.” This meant designing a branch that was lighter, brighter, and bigger; it needed to be more accessible from the outside in.
As a result of their rebranding effort, a new branch design was developed for Dirigo. This became the prototype for future branches to follow.
Signature elements were brought into every part of this renovation project. Larger windows and a painted ceiling allowed for more light to enter the interior and improved the view from the outside looking in. An addition allowed for more office space, a break room, copy/work area, conference room, and an additional restroom. A technology bar, teller area, and feature walls that integrate branding, graphics, and digital messaging, were elements included in the redesign. An ATM was relocated and rebranded as part of the project.
