The Element Group, a full-service provider of retail environments for community banks and credit unions nationwide, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer to transform spaces into inspiring environments that reflect clients’ visions and functional needs. This role involves managing multiple projects from concept through completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality design solutions that align with client goals and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support projects from schematic design through final implementation
- Collaborate with the design team to select and specify materials, finishes, lighting, and furnishings
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Assist with furniture and material research, ordering, and selection
- Develop comprehensive finish boards for client presentations
- Review construction documents for design intent, finish specifications, and power/data requirements
- Perform design tasks including programming, space planning, layouts, and design analysis
- Act as liaison between the interior design team and furniture dealers to ensure successful project execution
- Coordinate furniture installations and resolve punch list items with project managers and contractors
- Work directly with clients throughout the design and construction process
- Produce and revise detailed architectural drawings under tight timelines
- Participate in construction phase activities such as site visits, RFIs, and shop drawing reviews
- Attend and contribute to design and project coordination meetings
- Translate architectural plans from 2D into 3D visualizations
Required Skills + Qualifications
- Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail abilities
- Ability to stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of working independently
Education + Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field
- Ongoing professional development through seminars, trade shows, or industry conferences preferred
