assistant project manager
This position provides support to the Design and Implementation Teams throughout all phases of Element projects nationwide.
primary duties
Essential job functions or duties of this position are as follows:
- Work directly with design and project management team members, from planning through project completion.
- Develop detailed project timelines, job schedules, and assist in subcontractor communication.
- Monitor project deliverables and maintain project files using project management software and reporting tools.
- Assist with coordinating and documenting design and pre-construction meetings.
- Support project management team during permitting, bid administration, pre-construction, construction, and closeout phases.
- Support design team through initial design pricing, material research, and vendor selection.
- Collaborate with lighting, millwork, furniture, graphics, signage, and any other Element vendors throughout the design and implementation phases.
- Coordinate punch lists, project close-out documentation, and post-construction meetings as needed.

- Establish effective working relationships with all functional units of the company, customers, and colleagues.
- Attend weekly status/progress meetings to review and provide updates for projects.
- Build strong working relationships with vendors and clients alike.
qualifications and skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills throughout all project phases.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills as well as detail oriented.
- Team oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in design/build project management related field is preferred.
- Solid understanding of design and construction details, building codes, building materials and methods.
