Digital/ Graphic Designer
(Full time position—Portsmouth, NH)

Position Summary 

Development, creation and implementation of digital and graphic content for Element clients nationwide. Provide unique design solutions for digital and EGD clients as needed, innovate and initiate new design concepts that help achieve our clients marketing goals.

Primary Duties

Essential job functions of this position are as follows:

  • Follow assigned projects from concept to final deliverables.

  • Interpreting the client and company’s business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.

  • Job will involve managing more than one design project at a time.

  • Developing Design Briefs by gathering information and data through research.

  • Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.

  • Use innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.

  • Presenting ideas and concepts to client or account managers.

  • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.

  • Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall briefs.

  • Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches.

  • Working on layouts and preparing files for production.

  • Working as part of a team with designers (graphic and digital), directors, printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists.

  • Work directly with client during the design review process and throughout duration of projects.


  • Participate in weekly status/progress meetings to review and provide updates for projects, both internal and external.

  • Establish effective working relationships with all functional units of the company, customers and colleagues


Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office (Word and Excel), as well as Key Note, XD & After Effects with an additional ability to master third party implementation programs and technologies, for example: 11 giraffes, Navori, Intuiface, Airtable, etc. as they are relevant to Elements needs.

  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of design principles and solutions across a range of design challenges.

  • Familiarity with best in class design methodologies.

  • Results-driven and able to collaborate with management and colleagues to share responsibility for end-to-end solutions.

  • Successfully contribute to the adherence of project budgets and schedules.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills throughout all project phases

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills as well as detail oriented.

  • Team oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently

Education and Certifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a design field.

  • Relevant continuing education, seminars, Trade-shows, Conferences

  • 1-3 years in related industry
